Frame of Mind

This "beauty" is our Part of the Week. Let's take a look!

WHAT'S THIS?

EMI is a full service machine shop, with services ranging from CNC milling & turning to surface finishing, from marking & engraving to welding & brazing.

Let's take a look at how we create a welded frame for one of our customers.

THAT'S COOL!

The process starts with receiving raw materials from one of our metal suppliers. In this case, stainless steel.

"Sittin' on the Dock of the (Delivery) Bay" (with apologies to Otis Redding, 1968)

Next we measure twice and cut-to-size once.

"Cuts Like A Knife" (with apologies to Brian Adams , 1983)

After clamping into place, we're ready to weld.

"Join Together" (with apologies to The Who, 1972)

Of course, after welding the frames need some polishing to clean things up a bit.

"Finishing Touches" (with apologies to Warren Zevon, 1991)

And when everything is ready to go, we send them to our customer.

"I'm Shipping Up To Boston" (with apologies to Dropkick Murphys, 2005)

To be clear, we can ship to Boston. And other places, too.
