Making Mixtures Smooth as Silk: Stainless Steel Industrial Mixing Rotors

Written by Adam Persson | Sep 8, 2025 6:00:00 PM

This beauty is our Part of the Week. Let's take a look!

WHAT'S THIS?

Here's a quick shot of some food grade stainless steel rotors we recently machined.

Ready to do their part to make your mouth so very happy!

THAT'S COOL!

Even the most anodyne products we use in every day life have interesting stories behind them. These food grade stainless steel rotors will be used for industrial mixing, making sure things like barbecue sauces, mayonnaise, salad dressings and even toothpaste are properly made and mixed in quantities that make them affordable for everyone.

Not only are these are made to very tight tolerances, the amount of engineering that goes into them is substantial, with each hole having a different angle to account for the viscosity of the family of liquids and semi-liquids to get the end products just right.

Plus, each rotor plate must be easy to clean and sanitize so the machines can handle a wide variety of products and be cleaned and switched quickly without worry of contamination.

So the next time you slather some Carolina-style mustard barbecue sauce on your grilled meats give a thought to the machines behind it all that make your mouth water just thinking about it.

ABOUT POW!

Each week we will feature something we've been working on. We hope you'll find these posts informative.
