Let's take a look! ## WHAT'S THIS? The Part of the Week series usually features examples of the finished parts. This week let's take a look at the other end of the process. ## THAT'S COOL! Once an order is placed with EMI, our procurement team works with our metal suppliers to get the raw material in-house. Below we see a few recent arrivals, in this case steel rod and steel bar stock.  ![IMG\_1408 JPG](https://emievans.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_1408%20JPG.jpg?width=365&height=486&name=IMG_1408%20JPG.jpg) Uhh, the steel rod is on the left.   First we'll verify the dimensions (IMG\_1403). Here we're checking the diameter of the rod.
