COMMUNITY CITIZENSHIP

SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY THAT SUSTAINS US

From our humble beginning in the basement of a family home, to establishment of a physical location with two machines, to the present day with dozens of the latest CNC machines, EMI has been fortunate that the conditions for growth were present in our community.

Like any garden, however, favorable conditions for growth must be actively tended and maintained.

Giving back to our communities so that everyone can thrive has long been a big part of who we are and how we pay it forward.

We think of our efforts as investing in growth in three important areas:

    1. Community Economic Opportunities

    2. Manufacturing Education & Skills Development

    3. Supporting People In Our Community

COMMUNITY ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES

It's no secret that vibrant communities need a strong economic foundation.

That's why EMI works closely with a variety of governmental and business groups to support economic development activities in the region.

Here is a partial list of the organizations we've been proud to support in recent years:

MANFACTURING EDUCATION & SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

The factory shop floor is evolving and adopting new technologies at an incredible rate.

From factory automation, AI and advanced analytics to IoT, machine learning and next gen quality management, the engine powering tomorrow's growth is a skilled and educated workforce.

For many years EMI has worked closely with area technical schools and colleges to train the next generations of skilled machinists.

Here is a partial list of the schools and programs we support:

Last, but not least, EMI seeks to leave a light environmental footprint by using only water-soluble machining coolants, and recycling paper and raw material waste. Because that helps people in our community and beyond.
