This "beauty" is our Part of the Week. Let's take a look!
I was walking through the production floor last week and spotted a sequence of materials that illustrates the breadth of EMI's capabilities.
One of the benefits of working with EMI is our experience working with a huge range of materials. The picture below shows four separate materials:
Ertalyte (PET-P)
Ductile Cast Iron
C632 Nickel Aluminum Bronze
6061 Aluminum
After you read the Fun Fact below and learn the next trivial tidbit you can drop at cocktail parties, head over to our Materials page and see the range of ferrous, non-ferrous & exotic metals, and more than a score of categories of plastics and composites we can make dance for you.
* Fun Random Fact of the Week: The phrase "Four-on-the-Floor" was popularized in the 1950s in the automotive industry, referring to a floor-mounted four-speed manual transmission. In the 1970s, the phrase was re-purposed for disco and electronic dance music where the bass drum is played on every beat of a song in 4/4 time. Of course, big band swing and jazz drummers used this same cadence in the 1930's and 40's to help dual left-footed dancers like your humble author to be less of a dance floor disaster. EMI's blog truly is a fountain of news you can use!
Each week we will feature something we've been working on. We hope you'll find these posts informative.
