EMI DEBONER
Higher Yields, Lower Costs, Fast & Easy Maintenance
More Than Just Parts
For nearly six decades EMI has supplied market leading technology to the nation's food processors, packers and packagers. Our contributions include a large range of components found in machines found throughout the food chain, from material handling to processing through to final packaging.
In fact, our very first customer back in 1968 was a food processing and packaging company … and they're still a partner today!
In the early 1960s poultry processors had a problem. Specifically, the challenge was to efficiently remove meat from the bone. Our founder, Dan Evans Sr., overheard a conversation about this and, being a tinkerer at heart, set himself to solve it.
Working in the basement of his family home in the evenings and on weekends, Dan finally cracked the problem and created the first Poultry Deboning Machine. And with it, Evans Machine (EMI) was born in 1968.
Since then we have developed a series of commercially successful improvements, with the most recent being the EMI Deboner.

The EMI Deboner
The EMI Deboner represents a significant advance in efficiency and yield, cost savings, maintenance and hygiene control.
Several cost saving features are incorporated into the EMI Deboner, including the patented split feed-can and disposable insert and the elimination of costly thrust bearings and housings. The simpler design also reduces maintenance, parts and operating costs while greatly reducing the risk of airborne contamination.
With a modular design, disassembly and cleaning a 15-minute job for just one person. Equally, removal and replacement for preventative maintenance is a fast, safe and easy task.
Built for the Long Haul
The EMI Deboner is exceptionally durable, with many going strong after decades of operation. Improvements to parts are constantly occurring through our Research and Design Team. Most improvements are made at no additional cost to the customer and improved parts are guaranteed to fit in place of their older counterparts.
