What the Heck is This?
Usually this space is reserved for visuals and chirpy text about something EMI is working on, with mildly amusing captions under the pictures.
It's a method of communicating with our customers and partners that we hope you find valuable.
This week, however, we are introducing something else, an upgrade to another of our ways of communicating: the Line Card.
Why the Good Old Line Card Needs a Revamp
Since shortly after the earth cooled, and while dinosaurs roamed the land, manufacturers have published a line card to broadcast their capabilities and services. For most manufacturing companies, and it's been true for nearly all of EMI's 58 years, the line card ends up simply being a list of machines.
Today we're changing that.
Our new approach is to try to provide the information buyers, purchasing professionals, engineers, and/or a quality management folks needs to quickly understand whether EMI is a good fit for their needs.
We're all busy people and EMI would be doing you a disservice if we didn't make it easy for you to see how EMI can serve you best ... or whether we're not a good fit at all.
Introducing EMI's New and Improved Line Card
For Buyers and Purchasers
We've created a quick overview to give you a sense for EMI's ability to meet your specific needs for:
-
-
-
Production Volumes
-
Types of Production Processes
-
Part Sizes & Tolerances
- Material Types
- Surface Treatments
- Quality Assurance, Inspections and Sampling
- Additional Value-Added Services (such as stockkeeping, DFM assistance, etc.)
-
-
Also at your fingertips are information about: ISO 9001, ITAR registration, Cage Code, NAICS Codes, and CMMC Status.
In short, this should help you to decide quickly whether EMI should be on your "Send RFQ to" list for the project you're working on. And if you need deeper info, then our website has it.

For Engineers and Quality Assurance Folks
We've created two overview sheets, one listing EMI's production equipment (50+ CNC machines -- count 'em!) and the other going into depth about our Quality Assurance tools.
Used in conjunction with the Overview for Buyers, you can quickly see what's in-house at EMI.
Or you can nerd out to your heart's content looking over the 5-Axis Mills and the advanced Lathes and the Wire EDMs and the high tech Mill-Turn centers and the latest Zeiss CMMs and the Handheld X-Ray Gun and the ...

We hope these new documents will be helpful to you and streamline your daily work.
Finally, we love feedback so if you have any thoughts or suggestions about them, we hope to hear from you. After all, these tools are only as good as how well they're meeting your needs.
