Multi Motor Mount Mayhem!

This "beauty" is our Part of the Week. Let's take a look!

WHAT'S THIS?

Here's a 'plus-sized' aluminum part that heavy enough to require some lift assistance from a fork lift.

THAT'S COOL!

This is slab of AL 6061-T651 that our customer needed to mount a handful of motors and pumps on.

T651 is a good choice for heavy-duty base plates because it's been heat-treated, artificially aged, and stretched to relieve internal stresses.

To get this part ready for action, we used water jet cutting, milled the slots, milled the mounting surfaces for dimensional conformance and flatness, and drilled threaded holes for steel inserts.

Our largest table can handle up to 30" by 60" so this 24" by 57" part was no sweat.
