Your Customer Bill of Rights: 7 Promises

With 40+ CNC machines many say that EMI is a manufacturing company. But, we are really a service company: Our job is to serve you. It just happens that the service we provide is a physical item.

As Rachel Botsman, a leading expert and author on trust, says in her book Who Can You Trust?:

"Money is the currency of transactions. Trust is the currency of interactions."

As a service company we know that the sum of our daily customer interactions is the measure of Trust our customers place in us.

With an eye toward continuing to build Trust, and regardless if we've been serving you since 1968 or if you're thinking about placing your first order, here are EMI's promises to every customer:

  1. Right to Communications & Responsiveness
  2. Right to Fair Pricing & Value
  3. Right to Selfless Advice
  4. Right to On-Time Production
  5. Right to Transparency
  6. Right to Accountability & Redress
  7. Right to Courtesy & Empathy

In fact, we think the idea of a Customer Bill of Rights is so important there is a dedicated page on the website where we discuss each of these rights in greater detail.

If you're looking for a service-minded manufacturing partner, let's talk.

Serving You Better: More New Machines

High Precision Grinding

In order to provide you with the latest capabilities EMI invests in new equipment every year. As part of this on-going commitment, last month we installed a brand new CNC surface grinding machine.

Pictured below, this machine handles parts up to 16" x 32", spins up to 1800 rpm, and grinds to an accuracy of 0.0001" (0.00254 mm).

We've got our newest baby installed and turning out parts like a veteran precision performer.

Think of EMI when you need your precision parts exceptionally flat.

Materials Identification & Verification

In our ongoing quest to reduce uncertainty and be your best business partner, EMI recently purchased a handheld XRF analyzer.

This allows us to perform rapid, non-destructive identification of metals and alloys to verify the raw material stock when it arrives in-house.

The new XRF analyzer gives you an extra measure of confidence that you're receiving exactly what they ordered. Below is a picture of us setting up to analyze an incoming piece of Aluminum

Give us a call if you're looking for the next level of materials verification for your parts.

Busy purchasing execs have long contended with incorrect and out-of-date information from their suppliers.

The result is wasted time on vendor identification and management, which ultimately chokes the speed their business can move.

EMI's always up-to-date Capabilities & Facilities Line Card gives you the most updated and complete information on demand.

Click the 1-page image to the right, then print and hang it on your cubical wall for fast access.

Helpfully, the document link will never change so you can bookmark it and be assured that you've got the information you need, even as we update it with new capabilities.

Of course, the Equipment & Facilities webpage is also always up-to-date and may be more convenient if you're checking on a mobile device.

Whatever the case, EMI's 'Never-Out-Of-Date Line Card' makes it easy to trust that you've got the right information so you can move faster to accomplish your tasks.
