Turning a Feed Nozzle with Machined Helix

This beauty is our Part of the Week. Let's take a look!

WHAT'S THIS?

This is a stainless steel feed nozzle with an inset machined helix.

A pair of steel metal cylinders with large holes machined in the ends and a helix shaped "screw" feature machined into the face of the center

The comparison is a quarter, but these cost a bit more than $0.25.

THAT'S COOL!

Crafted from a single piece of stainless steel, these parts required careful attention to detail to hit the dimensional tolerances our customer required.

ABOUT POW!

Each week we will feature something we've been working on. We hope you'll find these posts informative.
