Precision Precisely Proved

This beauty is our Part of the Week. Let's take a look!

WHAT'S THIS?

This is our new Zeiss CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), a key part of our ability to perform precision machining.

THAT'S COOL!

EMI provides precision machining and assembly services for our customers across a dozen industries and more.

Some of our customers (in scientific instruments, optics, semiconductors, medical devices, motion control, etc.) need super precise results for their solutions to work correctly for their own customers.

In order to meet tolerances as tight as ±0.0001″ (±0.00254 mm) we need not only to have machining and grinding equipment that can hold the tolerance, we also must be able to measure it, as well.

Ready... Set... Go!

We've long invested in the Zeiss machines and found them to be reliable and versatile workhorses for our busy, high mix business.

But even the sturdiest machine will eventually need replacement and it's best to make the change while it still holds the necessary tolerance.

So our new Zeiss Spectrum 7/10/6 CMM -- 700 mm (X), 1,000 mm (Y), and 600 mm (Z) -- joins another recent addition to our Quality Assurance roster.

If you've got precision parts, we'd love to make 'em and measure 'em for you.
